The walls are a pale lilac, in case you can't tell.
On the heels of my last post about the evils of allowing one's fantasy-life to lead one astray, I now indulge in a post about re-decorating my office solely IN MY MIND.

But hey, it's autumn and the change of season has me hankering for some life and color. What's that you say? My office is already filled with color and life in the form of houseplants struggling to defy the gnashings of Mr. Darcy's fangs?
All right, I confess, just like a rabid leaf-peeper on a New England Fall Foliage tour, I WANT MORE.
When I do finally get a place of my own, where I am free to do whatever I like to the walls, I may be forgiven if I go a little nuts.

Give me layers of rag-rolled, sanded chartreuse! As seen here in the original Nanny McPhee, a film I love and, according to my daughter, always watch when I have a cold.

Perhaps it's the allure of Nanny McPhee's spoonful of anti-sugar she serves up to the kids who are faking a case of the measles. Or more likely, it is the healing power of saturated pigment that cures the ails of this artist. Take a look:

Love the mantlepiece cover, the beadboarding, and the fringe! Oh, AND the bird clock.

And here are some lovely blue-violet hues to drool over.

See more of the gorgeous color and fabulous over-the-top-Edwardian art direction in the official trailer. Can I just move in? I'll even keep the cook & housekeeper.

Just in case I decide to go rogue, lock myself in my office and paint the walls while hoping no one else notices, I'm off to look up great chartreuse and green-gold paint colors. I hope they have marvelous names.

In the meantime...please pray for my plant.

What's the wildest color you've ever painted an interior wall?

Love the violet blue coloured walls! We adore our deep red hallway but the most interesting colour combo we have used was back in our student days when we painted one room peppermint green and white vertical stripes.....

That must've been lively! But I'll bet you felt good in that room. That color scheme works for the Miette confectionery stores!
